Wow! I would commit any crime (within reason) to own that one!

How do you think I got it?Wow! I would commit any crime (within reason) to own that one!
I just read the PM, Mitch. Perfect. Thanks.Well, I was at the shop today and had the pleasure of playing some VERY nice basses ....if anyone was contemplating an alder/rosewood VF the candy apple red one ( shown on the site currently) is gorgeous and sounds great. By coincidence, George just finished a total repair/refin job on a "transition" '66Jazz in candy apple red that turned out beautifully, however the "modern" version VF was even better IMO.
The redwood one of a kind fretted AC is something else too!
Tom, I'll pm
Cheers
Mitch

Good Gawd!
I like that one!![]()

Well, today is the day my long time dream has finally come true and I am able to join Club F Bass. I just finished consumating the deal with fellow T/B member jonno1707 (awesome guy) for this AC5 that I have spent countless hours fantasizing about. It is scheduled to be delivered into my possession tomorrow and little sleep awaits me tonight. I am sky high right now. All I need now is a number to make it official I guess. Hope I am worthy. Any comments on what it was like for club members to play and own their first F bass would be greatly appreciated to help me pass the time. I finally made the big time Ma (she would be so proud). Peace
You're in for such a treat when you open up that AC5...truly a world class bass. Pics will not do it justice. Did you take the day off?

Love that story, Donovan.... Something else that’s interesting? I had NEVER PLAYED an F Bass until my initial order came in. Yup, I paid thousands and thousands of dollars for basses I had never actually played! ... So if you are thinking of getting an F Bass, but are concerned about not getting to play one first, don’t worry. You’re gonna love it. Besides, it’s not like you are buying five or six of them!
I don't have an AC5, but that is my AC6 pictured at the top of this page.+1
Seriously, the day I got my AC5 was the last day I gassed for a fretless. That one looks outstanding too. It's a 34" scale correct? I'd like to compare it to a standard AC5..
Here's a video of that blue VF5:
(BTW it's not me)
