Hey F Bass family!
I am a real lucky owner of a gorgeous BN6 since 2019. I'm happy sharing pics and thoughts about it with you guys.

Specs are "basic" BN: ash body, maple neck/fingerboard, classic BN single coils, Hipshot B-style bridge, etc. The color was my design - my idea was "red like a beautiful glass of Pinot Noir". It got the dark grain enhancement. Tone is killer! I can really confirm what most of you experience here: It's extremely versatile! Reminds me so much of a beautiful J-Bass Tone (I measured the pickup position/spacing and I can confirm it's 60s JB style). The Tone is really nice and smooth... easy to get killer Marcus Miller slap tone... nice warm and round P-Bass tones from the neck PU soloed... nice Jaco Tone from the bridge PU... smooth and round "bell like" fingerstyle tone when both PUs full on. The preamp is really killing! Gives really great character, without coloring the tone too much artificially as with most Bass preamps. Also not those extremely harsh very high end treble frequencies that get lost in the mix anyways. Nice tight bass, very homogenous mids (not so high and guitar-like as with most modern boutique basses, instead more in the lower mid range, that fits so much better in the band mix). The tone control is really a game changer too! When bridge PU soloed and tone all the way down, it's instand vintage "P-Bass" like a dream! Same with bridge PU soloed and tone control all the way down. All together: A really versatile dream bass. It's really the "1-bass-for-everything". That's exactly what I was looking for and I'm really happy with this instrument. The neck feels so smooth. Action can be really, really crazy low (that was the way it was shipped) but I have raised it quite a little bit and it enhances the "J-Bass" tone much more this way. The exposed-core F-Bass strings are really great. Tried DR "Fatbeams" for 1 time (those are my favorites on all my other basses) but have changed them to the F-Bass immediately again - they complement each other really perfectly for that kind of tone. They also last damn long! I always clean the bass and strings with a micro-fibre towel, to remove sweat and dust, etc.

Looking forward to your feedback! Have a great time and best wishes from Austria!
