Wow, the GC pics are really super poor, nothing like the Reverb ones. My eyes are getting old, but the thumbrest seems to be the only tell they are even the same bass. Nicely spotted!
That’ll be there for awhile at that price.
Mine too, I saw it on MF and it noted “cursor purple”, didn’t even notice gc didn’t mention the color

Was gassed when I went to final prep for Christmas In The Chapel 2022, to find the bassist in the other band also played an Fbass. Jeremy has the Seafoam BN5 deluxe. He seemed to enjoy taking my BN5 for a joy ride

Agreed- while I am NOT much of a 6 string player, my wallet was very happy to see that narrow spacing... not to be outdone, someone posted this in the FB group... jeez, I'm glad I love my BN5 as is, because these fancy topped deluxes are SO tempting... also, I'm intrigued by the separate battery boxes now.Gorgeous top! So I already have a number in the F club... but I had left it.
Now I am back with this BN5 Studio. It is from the first run of Studios in the early 2000's. Marcel Furlanetto says it is a 'rare bird' in the F history, with only 2 Black Ceruse Studio in existance.
I do not have the regular BN5 to compare, but I really dig the Studio.

I do not have the regular BN5 to compare, but I really dig the Studio.

Great tone, but for some reason when I bought my BN5, I convinced myself that I really really needed the 2 extra frets...
Did the original Studio's only have 20 frets? My Reissue Studio from ~2015 has 21 frets (and dots on the fingerboard).
I've only seen the 20 fret versions (here's a link to a FS post with 20 frets from a few years back).
Great about the dots, since I started singing while playing I find a lack of FB markings somewhat challenging.
My Studio has 20 frets indeed.
For what I play, I don't mind at all. But I understand when you buy a high end bass, you want everything extra, including the number of frets.
