Given the stated budget, I could come close by cobbling together a more-than-passable system with used, older-technology components. Keep your eye on CL: lots of used gear in good working condition but less-than-stellar cosmetics...nothing that a little elbow grease and glue won't fix. The wise seller is motivated as it is cheaper to sell locally at a discount than to ship.

Thanks to the advent of the newer lightweight power amps, perfectly good lead-sleds (e.g QSC RMX 1450 / 2450) can be had for ~$150-200.

sorry i quit working for that place so i forgot about this thread. never mind, thank you for your help though.

i do know that 900$ for a night club pa is a joke, this is one of the reasons i don't work there anymore.
