I'm crazy about trans black too.....!!!! Can you take out the white pearloid pg from the spec sheet?? ....

I requested a clear one as well. Got to see how a feel once its done. But definitely leaning towards the pearloid.

Think it will look good here is a quilted trans-black with a mint guard and a flamed trans-black with a pearloid

I'd be SOOOO tempted to mount the controls in the standard config and leave the PG out altogether. That quilt looks awesome!!

I (obviously) don't have a huge problem with putting a guard on a figured top to maintain the more "vintage" look, but I also think, especially with no dots on the board, this bass would look great without it.
