Regarding your question, as others have said: just swapping two wires on the pot.

That's what I had figured. Thanks for the help, gents. I'll have to leave it with my local luth for a few days.

Regarding being from the dark side- I'm always one for ending sectarian conflict. There's enough ethnocentrism in the world without bringing it to the bass community. ;)

My Sadowskys are single-pickup, but I've encountered that surprise when playing others'. I understand Roger's thinking: you get more punch when you "turn up" the blend knob. Still, when I get a dual pickup Sadowsky, I'll probably go with the old-fashioned blend wiring because I'm an old-fashioned geezer. :p

I think I've just gotten used to Roger's blend knob orientation. Some of that might be where you orient the middle position. Leaving it in line with the other knobs as stock, it doesn't really point at anything in particular to begin with. If you put it straight up, then, yes, it could make sense to switch the wires to make it point at the pup that gets the pan.

The neck of my WL5 on order. I received this pic a month and a half ago, so I hope it's already a little further in the build process. Anyway, I wanted to share this 'cause my initial spec was Brazilian rosewood for the fingerboard. Just when the fingerboard and its MOP dots were finished, I got an e-mail, saying that they can't ship Brazilian, MOP and abalone outside the U.S., so I had to choose another fingerboard wood and regular dots. With the assistance of Kevin & Roger - stating that amazon is the closest you can get to Brazilian - I chose for amazon rosewood, which looks like this (see pics below). Although I like the amazon very much, it still hurts a little looking at Brazilian, but I'll have to wait till I hear it to judge its sound.

In case you want to picture the finished instrument: it's going to be Candy Apple Red with a matching headstock. I will be ordering a parchment and a tort guard. Ash body.

The color of the Amazon Rosewood is going to look great with the CAR body and matching headstock.
I trust you will be happy with the sound as well. Roger knows his stuff. Congrats on another killer bass!

I know this thread is about Sadowsky instruments and I dont want to derail the thread so if you could PM your response it would probably be better.

My cover band has started doing some Lady A, Jason Aldean and new country and I need that low mid growl that is so present in new country on several songs through the night. I use a mesa M6 and like it for everything else but it doesnt seem to easily nail that tone. I was just wondering what kind of amplification you guys are using and why?
I am using an Epi S2 4X10 cab and plan on keeping it but was just wondering if I am 100% happy with my amplification. It has to be rackmount and have a tuner out. Thanks

What about the Aguilar db750?

Besides, your description of the M6 is the exact reason I got rid of mine.
