I think the general consensus is that the Standard P is a LITTLE stronger in the lows and low mids, and the reverse P's are a little more articulate...I've never played a standard PJ Sadowsky, but I do own a Reverse PJ: To my ears the reverse P sounds every bit as P-Bass as the Fenders I've owned in the past, but with probably a little more grind to it.

Cool thing about the Sadowsky is you can have them rout the bass for both options if you're getting one with a non-clear plexi pickguard.

So here is my second SADOWSKY, Kev, Roger, and the whole crew once again out did themselves. The pics here really do not even do it justice. This thing is AWESOME! Sounds freaking amazing. Again i can't say Thank You enough to everyone over at SADOWSKY. Here are 2 pics of my baby. A pic at the shop and a pic of Roger turning her over to me along with DRAGONBASS who built her, a super kudos to him, once again he just straight up blew me away with this build.

Beautiful! Love how the rose highlights in the neck play against the pickguard.

What's the fingerboard on your bass? Thinking it's one of the rosewoods, no?

Braz Rosewood, with Single Coil Pups. The body is a Solid Ultra Light Ashe. I decided to go with the ROSEWOOD due to the fact that single coils have got some serious sizzle, i figured the rosewood would warm them up and i was correct man. This bass sounds SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!

I agree about Rob, hahahahahahaha, but in all fairness they were all very busy at the shop. Given its the Holiday season i could understand trust me. There was not 1 person there doing nothing, i walked around the shop and everyone was at their stations working. Kev was super busy packing boxes and such, Rob was kind enough to stop for this Pic.

Great bass and great choice. I love my ash/Braz. Sadowsky basses. At least one of them is has a solid body. The other I don't know 'cause it has a metallic finish.
Seeing all these great basses finding their way to new owners sure makes the wait for mine harder. Especially since I know mine is almost ready. Play it in good health!

When I visited, they were busy as well. Not as busy as now, probably, but still quite busy. Still, they took all the time to show me the shop (and writing down the specs for one of my basses I ordered while I was there). Among the best CS I ever experienced.

I had heard that, but in the 12 years I've been using Dunlops -- quite rigorously, with my hard rock band -- I've had exactly zero problems.

Contrast that with 15 years of worrying about Schallers: specifically, whether the hex nut would come loose, allowing the strap to fall off the lock. It happened to me a few times back in the day, and it happened to a guitarist bandmate during a recent gig while he was playing seated. Lucky for him he was playing seated, because it took him completely by surprise.

But if you gotta use Schaller, use Loctite as noted earlier.



Back on topic: this is a gorgeous bass, congratulations. :)
