Hey Ivan, good to see you again yesterday. I really like the Sadowsky single coils, sounds like they will cut like a knife in a band mix also I'm in love with Brazilian Rosewood!

Man i am with you guys, just picked up my latest SADOWSKY and my first with Single Coils AND i am in heaven. Even a good friend of mine played it and he has played my NYC standard with Humcancelling pups, and he loves the single coils.

And that is the bass I want! :D
I haven't seen one of those in the states for a VERY long time. It seems every M5-24 that ends up in the USA, is either sunburst or black, or oly white. No naturals without the vintage tint, or trans white, have popped up at any dealers that I've been able to find.

Australia seems to have that market cornered. The exchange rate is almost equal dollar for dollar, but the shipping cost is a bear!

The January 2012 issue of UK's 'Bass Guitar Magazine' has a review of a pretty great looking NYC Will Lee 4 string.
I would say that though as it is in the same color scheme as my current outstanding order for an MV4 - olympic white, black guard, maple neck with black blocks.
The review bass is for sale in the UK at a dealer I believe and according to the reviewer is 'one of the best basses available today - at any price'.
Not going to argue with that.
Can't wait to get my lookalike MV4...

I got my bass from a dealer in Chicago called bassclubchicago.
They have fantastic bass equipment and was the only retailer that had the trans black MV-24 that I got. They have a ton of other Sadowsky basses as well. Definitely worth checking out if you're wanting a large selection from the same dealer.

Unfortunately, they vanished before they could add these clips to the video.

Unfortunate for them. I heard something that they had a flood and it destroyed their office? But, they thought they would be back?
Guess that didnt happen.....

Whenever someone states that SADOWSKY Basses are over priced FENDERS, they need to watch this movie ENTIRELY. i will guarantee that they will quickly change their minds about price. Roger is a true MASTER LUTHIER, and i am so damn PROUD to own a SADOWSKY Bass. Roger thanks for an incredible and extremely informative video.

They did not bring it back. I had the original DVD and uploaded it to my Youtube channel. Behind the Notes appears to be defunct.

Well, I'm VERY glad you did! This is a GREAT video from both historical as well as educational aspects. I never tire of watching it.

+1 - that was an hour well spent! I plan on forwarding that to a couple techs and friends. Having talked with 'the man', I appreciate his strong points of views based on a busy and successful career in the quest of prodviding the best craftmanship and instruments, while still considering the workingman's budget and needs. That's not to mention the artisan visual affect his basses have on folks ;)
