Looking at one of the pics I just had a thought: Is Madison Roger's dog and does she watch the shop at night or go home with someone? Just curious is all

Madison is Kevin's dog. I had a pretty long petting session with that pooch when I was at the old shop trying out basses. She wouldn't leave me alone, so I gave in... And kinda wanted to take her home afterwards. Really friendly dog.

Sadly, I had to let go of mine this week. I feel like a part of me is literally gone, can't really describe it . But my last Sadowsky was "the one" in every facet. Unfortunately, I literally was starring at the possibility of foreclosure if I can't pay some bills. The only consolation I have is that if I ever get back on my feet the consistency of Rogers products means I can replace it. I may still get a metro before this whole thing shakes out. But OTOH I don't know, I'm feeling more and more like a dinosaur every day. It seems that every way I've known to produce an income in my life is being "downsized" while the costs of doing it explode.

Steve! Man, I'm so sorry to hear this. But on the dinosaur thing, don't let that take playing music out of your life. At least keep a decent bass and small practice amp around, and hit the MP3 files (which I know you have a LOT of) every so often. Get a deal on a used Metro and play the heck out of it. :)

All my best, dude... hope things turn up for you SOON!

Sorry for your loss. I was seriously considering going into further debt for that bass. Take heart, though, you're right: they are incredibly consistent basses. Here's to your next being even greater than your last. :bassist:

ok. THis is a great thread. I want to know the wood combinations you guys prefer here. There are many Sadowsky's I see that are Swamp Ash/Maple and I don't see a whole lot of Alder/Pau Ferro ? I'd like your take on this. Is the Swamp Ash/Maple combo with 60's positions pickups the Magic sound ??
