A P-Bass HAS to have a pg!!!...

Influenced by a background in architecture & graphic art, I have a great fondness for the "Art Nouveau" period, lots of which BTW, is represented in NYC. The P-Bass body WITH it's pg (as being integral to it's design appeal) is an exceptional example of that art.

The Millennia stuff is pretty amazing. Every bass player should have a chance to use one. I think when Bassplayer magazine reviewed it they said it was like "hearing your bass with x-ray vision" -- and I agree. It uncovers things in your instrument's sound that you likely never heard.

I actually have an STT-1 and TD-1. I've been toying with the idea of selling the STT-1. It's more channel strip and pre-amp than I really need right now.

I struggle a bit with the decision though as I know I'll likely never acquire a comparable piece of gear again. I need to marinate on it a bit.

Looks just like mine. I agree - I prefer the extra symmetry in the design vs. the offset body style.

How can this even be a question... a P with no pickguard? That is wrong on so many levels...

NOBODY has both those pieces. The TD-1 is unreal but the STT-1 is something you don't often get to take advantage of when the need arises. Man- be careful losing THAT one. It just doesn't get any better IMO.

I give you a ton of credit. I was going to order a brand new Sadowsky but I'm really, really impatient with waits lol.

I did get lucky and I was able to score my dream Sadowsky from the classifieds (if you're reading this Jim, thanks again!) Just gotta wait for the shop to get single coil pickups in, drop em in and I'm all set.

It seems that the P body shape is the preferred body shape for a P/J pickup configuration based on a poll I posted a little while ago:

I can't even remember which one I voted for. I have a J bodied P/J, so I think I probably like that the best these days. I actually like both, although I'd have to say I am still not used to the reverse P look.
