I give you a ton of credit. I was going to order a brand new Sadowsky but I'm really, really impatient with waits lol.

I did get lucky and I was able to score my dream Sadowsky from the classifieds (if you're reading this Jim, thanks again!) Just gotta wait for the shop to get single coil pickups in, drop em in and I'm all set.

Post those pics as soon as you get them!

It is a master class in patience for sure. It is hard to get it out of your head for sure but the wait it totally worth it. I'll get the pic up as soon as I get it.

Nothing I don't like about about that bass, it's just PERFECT!
You should have a look from MY side! I've played a lot of basses in my lifetime & let me tell ya, it's not easy kissin' this one goodnight. EDIT: speaking of which I added 3 to the Van M. folder.

One of these days we're all gonna brag about how beautifully unusual our fretboards are. There's a lot of gorgeous multi pattern/colour wood out there that is just waiting for a home on somebody's bass fretboard. I bought some walnut veneer once (not implying fretboard wood-:rollno: ), that was actually white & brown. Stunning when finished in a rubbing varnish. I'd like to see more of that kind of stuff on tops as well.

I'm very content with my one Sadowsky bass: it's so versatile.
However, I made the mistake of playing rwider 's 5 string: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f126/sadowsky-nyc-5-nitro-881802/ It sounds really good.

I've been the #2 Bass Guy on call with this Led Zeppelin Tribute act for over a year now and never got the nod.

Cool Joey, let us know how it goes!!

When I say next week, I mean Monday or Tuesday.

Funny thing is I'm not into fancy tops and I wasn't looking to buy more gear as I'm at that stage where I realise I just need to work and it isn't really down to what I play, but when I happened across this it just spoke to me and I "had" to have it.

While at the shop - I got a chance to feel and play this instrument. The standard "stock" photo's never did the vintiquity finish justice... so I'm glad the guys posted these photo's.

I never cared for relic jobs until I saw this in person.

These photo's show off the work much better:
