Thanks everyone! I just bought the bass :D should have it by next week :hyper:

I was trying to get into the whole vintage fender thing because I love the look, but something was missing...
Don't get me wrong they sound great but in a mix the sadowsky just kills.
Now I'll just have to play the heck out of it and it will look like a vintiquity in no time :ninja:;)

Mine's finally on two feet and eating solids. We're still working out the whole diaper thing, though. She *did* dance up a storm at my birthday bash in May; some day, I'm going to tell her first boyfriend that she first saw her dad's band play when she was 9.5 months old...

So sometimes you don't know what you got - till its gone.

Recently, I've been in a "I want all my J's to be 60's style pickup position" - and for some reason the 70's style wasn't cutting it for me and my taste. So I put up my UV70 for sale here in the classifieds... ever since I did that, I would play it just to make sure I wanted to let it go. I quickly realized my fools mistake and pull it fast!

Sometimes you have to "taste" getting rid of a bass, to really get your gut feelings to come to the fore. I'm glad I did this, as it's made me realize how great the Sadowsky UV70 truly is.

This bass is perfect "as is". What I mean is I'm a die hard single coil guy... and as I always do, I put in the Sadowsky Single Coils in this... not a good fit for my personal taste. I love the Sadowsky Singles - but I feel they are a bit more geared towards the vintage 60's style sound.

The Humcancelling pickups on the other hand, have that midrange scoop which fits the 70's tone/vibe well.

Long story short - the Sadowsky UV70 is awsome... and sometimes almost letting something go makes you realize how you would regret it!
