Is it weird that I compared em' vertical too? Been stairing at these for a while... I think my decision is made, just gazing star eyed now, lol... builds are fun

The board on the left is darker. I photochopped the right board off another bass and though its Brazilian, its a little lighter in color. I asked the guys at the shop for a dark piece regardless of blocks or not - so keep that in mind too when comparing. Very, very important stuff here!

I do think a figured maple board with no markers does indeed look super classy... I'm in just such a habit of looking at the board to see where I'm at vs. looking at the side markers.

Its not pumpkin orange and really, the black pickguard doesnt look too bad on it in person.
