Well, the MV5-PJ came in earlier. Haven't spent a bunch of time with it yet though I can say that I'm liking the different midrange obtained with the PJ setup vs JJ. I've never been a P bass guy but, coupled with the bridge J, this may be the way to go for me. Add in the maple board and you get a touch of snappiness with the the low-mid growl and fatness of the P...me likey! The cherryburst finish looks even better in person (pics always seem to make a more definitive line in the burst than what's actually there).
Next gig isn't til November 10th so I've got some time to tinker but I'm anxious to hear this one in the mix. I seriously doubt it'll disappoint.
