You can see by my feedback that I trade a lot of gear, here. I've tried numerous Musicman basses, a vintage Fender, Alembics, Laklands, a Lull, and Warwicks. But it is my olympic white Sadowsky Metro that captured me. What a great product! Thank you!

Merry Christmas and happy holidays all. My Christmas present to myself is the anticipation of my in-production Standard 5. Not a day goes by that I'm not grateful for being fortunate enough to own such wonderful instruments.

Yeah, she doused the guitar rack with a spritzer bottle of Febreeze. The two whut got the worst were the Am. Std. P5 and if course, the Spalted Monster. I wiped both down pretty good with a dry rag, but I'm wondering if I'm going to get some sort of chemical reaction on the Sadowsky finish or the RW fretboard?

I'm not a chemist or a luthier, but it seems pretty innocuous chemically speaking :

"Answer: Here's the lowdown on Febreze. It's a product that was invented by Procter & Gamble and introduced in 1996. The active ingredient in Febreze is beta-cyclodextrin, a carbohydrate. Beta-cyclodextrin is an 8-sugar ringed molecule that is formed via an enzymatic conversion of starch (usually from corn)."

Basses on stands and children in the same room? That's an accident waiting to happen! I don't think you need to worry about the Fabreze but I'd take this as a warning of possible, more serious, mishaps in the future.

I know, I know. Problem is that our walls give up easily enough that we'd have basses on the floor in short order. I have my octave mando and Irish bouzouki on the wall because they're really light.

Also, she's taken to strumming the Norman six-string fairly often (unless the missus has been playing, in which case she makes a sort of grabby, faux-fingerpicking motion), and I really don't want to short-circuit what might be the beginning of an interest in music. I'm willing to run a certain danger for that.

Funny story....my second Sadowsky, which I bought new from the shop.....maple/ash w quilt top cherry burst....
Anyway, my daughter was about 3 at the time ( she's 15 now). We're at home, it's about noon so I make a snack- standard issue peanut butter and bread.
Give a slice to my daughter and I partake in a slice of the creamy goodness myself.
Phone rings.
I get up and answer it. Talk for a few to who ever it was.
Go sit back down.
My daughter I assume finished her slice of the heavenly delight I so lovingly spread across what some compare things to being better than (a slice of bread)- I should note I thought this was done in record time for a three year old.
Anyway, my little blessing was being such a delight and wanted a second helping. So, being the sensitive and caring individual I am, I naturally obliged my offspring with another.

So, about 20 min later, I decided that I would go grab my about 2-3 month old shiny new Sadowsky 5 from the other room.

Chris Swoop was a tremendous help over the phone setting the pick-ups back to factory height after I had to remove them to clean off the creamy peanutty deliciousness that had seemed to invade just about every nook and cranny possible from the neck pickup to the bridge.

Toddlers with peanut butter and Sadowskys don't mix.
Really,about the only mix a Sadowsky DOESN'T sit well in is peanut butter.

New NYC Sadowsky Came Yesterday for Christmas Eve. I have a couple hours to run through it's paces compared to the MTD I have and Fender CS Relic 64 before the big family event later this afternoon.
