I agree, but I'm also biased. I essentially have the 5 string version of this exact thing, including the gold anodized guard, but it's another brand, so I won't post here. Bottom line is, this is also, by far, my all time favorite look for a P bass!

Sure will! All of my basses get their fare share of passive play time. I'm 100% sure this will follow that pattern. Love me some passive tone.
I'm also looking forward to hearing what I call the Mellow Modern. Cutting the VTC around 50%, but boosting Treble around 25%. Love that sound on the JJ's and looking forward to how this P sounds like that
There's one other custom request on this bass not identified yet. Look real close! What's different?
Shortly after I bought my Will Lee (my very first Sadowsky)
I stumbled out my front door and broke my right thumb in 2 places
(a diagonal break from top right through the knuckle down
to bottom left near the other knuckle)
The doc said 8 weeks - no bass playing !! I hadn't even had
an opportunity to play with a group with it to hear how it
sounds in a mix.
Well that just wouldn't do...totally unacceptable to me.
So after 3 weeks in a cast I got invited to an acoustic/electric
jam with some old friends who play pretty low-key stuff that wouldn't require heavy stress on my right hand.
Lo and behold, I got through the night without using my thumb as a brace, instead I wore the bass up high and nested
my right wrist in the crook on top and was able to play fingerstyle with no mishap.
The BIG DEAL for me was hearing all the compliments on
that "Sadowsky Sound" and actually hearing how it fit in and
cut through the low-volume mix we had that night. It was distinctively different from any of my Fender Jazz Basses I used with
them in the past. The number of compliments was almost
embarrassing. I mean they raved about the tone -
I may just have to start liquidating my Fender Jazz collection
if this keeps up! BTW - I set my controls once at the beginning
of the session and didn't have to touch them again for the next
three hours of play. - nothing short of amazing -
Hats off to Roger once again. I am really loving this bass.
So I guess that's a thumbs up!
Oh, and while I'm passin' out the instructions here, you need to get flats on that bad boy, too.

lol, nope. It's a small request the guys at the shop did for me.
I'll give you a hint - I can take the bass right out of the box and play it without changing a single thing.

Obviously, Kevin put a drop of super glue on each tuner before shipping. No need to ever tune again.
