This baby should be here before the week's end. I'm excited, the best sounding bass I have has similar woods. My first Sadowsky, so maybe I can join this club too...lol?

Interested in your experiences with ash body, maple top, morado fingerboard. This bass has hum canceling pickups, but that could change if I don't here the snap I'm used too, any input is appreciated.

Ash morado is KILLER. Id have kept both of my uv70s in that config other than preferring 60s pickup spacing.

#4 for me, too. I've never been one for blocks, but the pearloid ones are a subtle change from the maple board, a sweet match for the pearloid guard, and all tie in nicely with the vintage white body.

The other three are nice, too.

#3 for sure, rosewood looks way better on white than maple.

To be honest, I'm not sure! I'm really looking for a rosewood neck P/J 5 string but I think the maple neck with blocks 'looks' the best!

I PM'd you to ask if you could mock up a 4 string Jazz version with the same aesthetic... because I might be in the market for one of those too!

Might have to consider a different look for the P/J...

A supplier or somebody (can't remember) sent me one of these a while back to check out. They do what they are designed to do.... mute open strings when you aren't using them.

Useful for the 'above the 12th fret tappers', etc. Also useful for 5 string players who slap who haven't yet mastered string muting on a 5 (which can take a while to get a handle on when slapping a 5).

My guess is, that is not the typical type of bassist who is attracted to your instruments, so my answer would be 'for your product line and design vision', no.

I guess a pretty small risk to buy a box full and put it on your on-line store as an option though, but I wouldn't bother myself. IMO!

I'm going to go against the stream again by saying I'd use it. Although not all the time, and not on all basses, I can see this having on some of my basses or putting it on a bass for a special occasion. Like Ken said, I wouldn't use it on 4-string basses, but rather on 5-string (or 5+) basses, and mostly in the studio.

I have them (3 pack), but I never really seem to use them. I find them usefull for playing higher up, especially on a 5 string to keep the Low-B from moving, but I would really only consider using them for recording, not live.

I've looked at them, but found the price point too high for what they were. So out of curiosity I fashioned one out of a velcro cable wrap - which did what it was supposed to, but in the end found I really didn't need it.

I personally wouldn't, but I barely ever slap or two-hand tap. Maybe for recording, but then I'd be probably more likely to improvise a contraption (or grab one of my daughters' scrunchies...)

There's instructions floating around on the web somewhere about making something very similar with velcro tape.
