I wouldn't, for the same reason others have mentioned. I rarely slap or tap or do any of that stuff.

I was planning on getting a set to noodle around with, but at least for my playing style... it'd be a casual interest thing and kind of a toy... not a necessity. Again tho, just for my playing prefs and style.Hi Everyone,

Fixed it for ya...Oh [DEL]s***.[/DEL] SNAP!
I want that.
One of the studios here has a "Bluck" knob on their console.
I'd never noticed it, and asked the engineer about it.
"That's for when it blows, and sucks."
It was "a function free" knob they just made a label for, but it was a bit of an inside joke after that, to see when they "engaged it."

This baby should be here before the week's end. I'm excited, the best sounding bass I have has similar woods. My first Sadowsky, so maybe I can join this club too...lol?
Interested in your experiences with ash body, maple top, morado fingerboard. This bass has hum canceling pickups, but that could change if I don't here the snap I'm used too, any input is appreciated.

Even taken with the usual grain of salt, the endorsements speak loudly. A number of top players (including Vic Wooten, IIRC) use a scrunchie. Why not something more elegant, actually designed for the job? I think the fretwrap is a great idea.
That said, I personally wouldn't use it because I'm not a fancy player: I'm a stay-at-home support guy who doesn't slap much.
