Thanks for the new pics of your P5. That's an exceptional grain on the fretboard. Don't see a plank like that very often. Also like the tort/black effect.

Hi Blair,
The fb on the P5 is Brazilian and is really something!

The Fender is one of the new AVRI '63's. It's hard to tell in the pic, but it's Faded Sonic Blue.

The 1st bass I ever played was a brand new '63 P (burst/tort/rw).
The 1-3/4" nut neck profile was VERY thin & I'll always think fondly of the old Fender thumpy flats that came stock on her. Played it w/a pick for the most part back then.(Ventures stuff etc)

EDIT: Gotta give a shout out to the '63 Fender piggy back twin 12" Bassman Amp here as well. AMAZING!!!

Hey Sadowsky Club peeps, it's time for me to thin the herd. I am selling my 2009 Vintage J5. Original owner, one-piece chambered Ash body, Caramel burst, birdseye maple fretboard w/MOP dot inlays, single-coils, 1 7/8 nut, parchment pickguard and a new, never-installed tort pickguard that was cut at the Brooklyn shop when the bass was built by Rob LoPrinzi. Will ship in Sadowsky OHSC. (ConUS only please!) It's in near-mint condition. Weight is somewhere between 8.5 and 9# (scale only reads in .5 increments). I'll take some additional pics this weekend. I'm going to wait a few days before posting in the general FS threads. I'm hoping to sell this to a Sadowsky club member! $3500. Will ship with a fresh set of Sadowsky Blue Nickels.

I would have snatched this bass up a month ago. I just bought a MV5, different PG, SC PUPS for it and another GK MB. I knew this would happen as soon as I bought the Metro. Thats a great deal.

I turned in my resignation today. but I already have another gig lined up so I'm good. Even though I have 4 weeks before I depart, I needed to clear out everything because I will be doing that transition/training thing to get my successor up to speed to ensure the quality system does not suffer.

Looks so bare! :bawl:
