I've seen Nord repair one similar to that, tho it was a painted bass....best wishes for a good outcome.

Wowzers!!!! Looks painful! I think about a year or two ago i actually sold a pair of basses overseas and one of then shared a similar fate. Split the electronics section just like that. Luckily the buyer knew a master luthier and couple weeks later he sent me some follow up pictures and I was amazed
looked like nothing had happened to it. hopefully the same magic will apply with this one! good luck and please do keep us update!Or instead of duct tape..... U can just use copper shielding tape across the whole hairline crack!
it'll be a win-win.

Production note from last night's show:
last song of the night, my MV5 started making a crackling noise and cutting out if I moved around too much. Reached down, and the output jack was tight; cable was seated.
at the end of the song, before I packed out, I got out my deoxit and a patch cable and a qtip. sprayed the cable end, pushed the cable in and out 10 times or so, spun it while it was seated for a bit, then pulled it out and wiped it down; and qtip'd the output jack.
there was a little bit of black oxisidation on the wipedown rag, and the qtip.
but: totally solved the issue.
so, I cleaned all my cable ends, and my other bass's output jacks.
I guess I should make that part of my maintenance regimen when I change strings

Incredible! That's a great looking bass you have there. Congratulations!
Finally got to try my Standard 5 with some Sadowsky Blues. I'd originally had on DR Hi-Beams and the B was just too flexible. Switched to Lo-Riders and had no more problems with the B but found the strings sounded a little choked. I played a looong wedding last night and it was a great opportunity to give these strings a workout. Standards, social dance stuff (tango, waltz, etc.) ballads, disco, current top 40 - this bass sounded great on everything. Incredible balance from string to string, rich and meaty tone and no floppy B. I fell in love with this bass all over again last night.

I was subbing for a friend and had a drunk on a bar gig do practically the same thing to my Alleva Coppolo LG5 that was only 2 weeks old.. !!
I had my bass in the gig bag behind my rig. The drunk wanders up,dances like a idiot, falls into my rig and the rig fell onto my bass.. Can you believe i didnt kick his ###....?
Although mine didnt come apart. but darn close...

Makes me sick to see this. Hopefully it turns out better. You have to let us in on how this happened.

We played one of our biggest shows of the year last night and I will have to say I was in tonal heaven. Both my Ash/maple JJ5 W/SCpups were just destroying it.

It looks worse than it probably is. The break looks pretty clean so it should be a fairly straightforward glue and clamp and then repair the finish. It might be a little tougher to fix the crack in the top depending on how far through it goes but I'm sure the Sadowsky crew will make it look like it never happened.

It fell from a wall hanger on just the perfect angle where the bass is hollow and there she went. A nightmare.
