Club Sadowsky!!!

444 of you guys and you have been silenced for two days.

I played two shows yesterday. 3174 got the first two hours (Big outside show with huge production That Bass kills it) and 5693 got the 3 hr 2nd show (I subbed for another Bass Player at a fancy wedding reception where I was dressed nicer than I will be @ my funeral). Nothing like wearing a Tux and drinking all the free beer you can stand while laying it down with a good band and a Kick A$$ Bass.

We're all playing the 76 silence game. :p
Great to hear you got out and played the hell out of your Sadowsky's! Must have been a blast!

I finally bought my dream bass. This is by far the best bass I've ever played.

I spent a few hours yesterday in the peace of my music room with the MV5. And, I have to say that I have a dilemma. I am truly torn. This is it:

I think I may have been inadvertently been shipped a bass that somehow was accidentally slipped from the Sadowsky secret stash. I think it may have been preserved for its historical significance or perhaps it was intended for scientific study.

I'm not sure I should have it. I have to wonder if it was perhaps left soaking in the mojo tank overnight by accident.

I know it has been a while since I have played a Sadowsky. But, it hasn't been THAT long. This bass - at least at first blush - is everything I have ever loved about Sadowsky basses AND some.

It was an interesting day. So e of you guys know I am a huge modulus Quantum fan. Despite having owned several as well as the many past Sadowskys, I had never had one of each at the same time until yesterday.

I set them up with my Morley and A/B tested for about an hour. I have to say I discovered some similarities and differences I would not have expected. It was a fun day.

It's a killer bass. I am very eager to get it in a band setting.

I've been at work.
Football season started, and I'm pretty busy.

I still love my MV5 though, and if I could only have one bass, it'd be one of two I'd keep.

We all know that as a general rule, Sadowsky make a mighty fine bass.
We all know that Sadowsky do a fine job of overall consistantly great product; and for me, the ash/maple/single coil MV5 JJ is the Sadowsky that is the bestest for me.
A real sweet spot in the lineup for what I like.

But even Sadowsky have some that are better than others, and I reckon you got one of them.

As another example of this I had three PJ's before my current MV5PJ (yeah, I have an MV5JJ too.)
They were all immediately not my thing, and all left really quickly, but this most recent one totally rings my bell.

It doesn't outdo the MV5JJ, but, it's certainly the best of all the Sadowsky PJ's I tried.

Caught myself overplaying on last night's gig at one point and I place the blame fully on my Standard 5. The bass sounds so good it's like I can't wait to hear that next note. :p I have to be careful this bass doesn't get me fired...

Just performed a successful operation on my UV Jazz with a D-tuner I picked up a while back when they were selling them cheap. Finally got around to doing the install. Pretty straight forward. Maybe they are still available. Haven't checked the online store in a while. Anyways... Drop D sounds pretty cool with Sadowsky flats on this bass. Gonna take some getting used to. Pretty clacky right now. :D

I dunno, something about that top....well. ...looks.....err....umm.....slightly....nevermind, I don't wanna get hit with an infraction or a temp ban!

And that wouldn't be the first Sadowsky sporting such a resemblance. :D Hmm...

I just ordered a stack of Blue Labels as I've been really pleased with how these strings sound on my Standard 5. :)

Do the Tokyo series Sadowsky's all come without the VTC? If one comes without it, is adding a VTC something I could have done? I do live about 3 hours from Roger's shop.

My Metro Will Lee has the VTC. I think (and I could certainly be wrong) is that the older ones didn't have it but they come with it now.
