I certainly understand why some prefer the reverse P, but I prefer the standard P, even for five string.

I love ns2/ss1 with the reverse pj. But thats already such a different thing, not a p bass at all. On the sadowsky pj5 i had, i strongly preferred "normal" to reverse.

SWR was an amp company. This particular "SWR bass" was made by Sadowsky for an SWR ad.

I used to teach with a gentleman whose last name was (is) Rabe. He pronounced it phonetically -- RAW-bee (accent on the RAW).
Is that how Steve Rabe pronounces his?

Roger actually swapped the bass for a SWR rig supplied by Steve. I believe that rig is still in the Sadowsky show room. This bass not only appeared in some SWR ads, but saw allot of NAMM shows in the SWR booth.
