Hey Sadowsky peeps . I never thought I would even consider this but I am thinking of selling my 1999 Sadowsky standard 5 string . Not that I don't love it it is a fantastic bass and was my main player for quite a while but for the last few years I have gone back to my 4 strings and if I decide to let this go I would order a new NYC 4 string. I love my Sad 4 string P bass ( I just put Sadowsky flats on it for the first time and wow , love it ) I bought my 5 string bran new from them in 1999 it weighs less that 8 LBS , before chambering , swamp ash body , no VTC , all original in amazing shape , no dings plays great . Anyway what would you do ? I just hate to see it in the closet and some one should be rocking it.![]()

Hey Joeykun........I was asked by a Journey tribute band here in Detroit to come out and sit in.
They are replacing their bass player.
What is your journey band called? Have a web site?
Hi Mike,
My Journey Band was called CAPTURED The Journey Show. We recently called it quits. Lots were going on.
Singer was adopting 2 kids, Drummer got married and moved out of MA. Guitarist had a solo record coming out.
We did a few shows with a new singer and guitar player but it didnt work out. Plus, there are over 4 different Journey tributes in MA. We tried to separate ourselves by just playing theaters and large venues. It was tough to fill these places. But, I had a great 3 years with the band and had a lot of great things happen from it. My phone is always ringing for gigs and fill ins!
Enjoy playing the gigs. The Journey material was fun to play. Probably the best gig I had in my career.
Joey
Understood, but stillMy Journey Band was called CAPTURED The Journey Show. We recently called it quits. Lots were going on...
That was fun - thanks! How long have you three played together?
Sorry that ended. You guys sounded great from the clips I heard. I think the Journey thing kind of ran its course anyway, given that huge resurgence due, I think, to their tune being used in the Soprano's final episode a while back.
Seemed like a great run for you, and three years (these days) is a long time to keep a band together and working.
Sounds like you have plenty of work, which is great. All the best.
Understood, but still
You guys did sound great!
+1! Best of luck, Joey!
Best of luck, Joey. Just saw the Journey doc with new singer from Independent Lens on PBS and while I was never a Journey fan, I can appreciate some of the melodies. Must have been fun to play and see the devout fans' reactions. Enjoy the next challenge.
