Club Sadowsky!!!

Just got rid of the Sadowsky soaps in my Will Lee and replaced them with Big Singles... They totally ROCK! I was missing that "organic growl" ( if you're on the same medication than me, you understand what I wanna say:D) and they sound huge...

It's really moved up to my prime bass now (while 5576, also with Big Singles has moved to the "hot standby" position)

I believe Carey may now rename the Big Singles as "Pablo Signature" if he fancies:hiding:

That's a better question for Carey, but fundamentally, it literally has much larger coils, which is why the casing is so much larger.

My first Sadowsky - just delivered today. Its a NYC Will Lee 4 in swamp ash. Really light weight (8 lbs) and nicely balanced. Comfortable neck - a little more beefy than I was expecting but it's a pleasant surprise. Seems perfect for my hands. The portabag is very cool...much nicer than I was expecting. The Sadowsky team really nailed it..thank you so much!

Big singles/Sadowsky 5 is a terrific match. My Metro 5/24 with big singles is probably my single most useful bass. I have two basses I like even better still for what they do best (one is fretless), but if I could have only one bass, this would be it.

Hey all

I don't post here much, but am a huge fan of my NYC Vintage 4 - by far the finest bass I've ever owned/played.

I had the opportunity to visit the shop this morning while on a business trip in Manhattan. I just wanted to say how completely blown away I am each time I visit - Kevin and Roger are both gentlemen, scholars, and just plain good people. They both went out of their way to allow my friend and I to play any (ok - every!) bass/guitar in the shop. We were there for almost two hours and never once got the impression that we should be moving along, though I'm sure they both had much more pressing things to attend to. I should mention that I'm not a pro, just a fanboy with expensive tastes. To be able to spend that kind of time evaluating all that the shop has to offer was priceless.

Anyway, just wanted to express my appreciation to Roger, Kevin, and the crew and recommend to anyone to visit the shop in they're in the neighborhood.

Now I just need to convince my wife that the cost of a new Sadowsky is completely justified...

Beautiful bass!
To me, the Will Lee model is just the natural evolution of Sadowsky. Mainly the pre amp.
I would love to try a NYC next to my Metro WL to see how much, if any difference there is.

I prefer the soapbars because when I tried a few basses in the shop, the soaps
were the most quiet. No hum at all even when favoring the back pickup a bit.
I do a lot of studio sessions and I can't afford to have any hum problems.
