Thanks Rob. Actually, the first Sadowsky I played was one of yours, I think 2 years ago in a GTG ! To tell th truth, before that I thought basses had to be very heavy to sound good.

Roger switched from the Standard Oval "football" Jack to the recessed Electrosocket Jacks. Gives it a cleaner more updated look..

at first, i thought my right angle plugs wouldnt work, but once i tried it, the look is very clean, and it fits perfectly.

but trust me, works like a charm with all my right angle jacks, including my trusty self made canare, and my workhorse mogami cords.
Cool, I'd hate to have to shelf my monster cable. Wow, is that what those Mogami cords(20') are $144. Notice a big difference between them and and say a Monster?

i got my mogami 3 yrs ago, and cost me, i think about $49? but frankly, once you've made your own cabling, its impossible to imagine paying any more than $20 for a few switchcraft plugs and a few feet of canare cabling.
It seems to me, from the posts so far, that the Metro vintage models far outnumber the Metro UV (ultra vintage) models and the standards (although they seem to be on par with the moderns). I can understand people choosing the vintage models for the vintage look but I wonder why the ultra vintage models aren't more popular.
I would have imagined that they would be at least as popular. Seeing how I have an ultra vintage on order, it makes me wonder whether there is something others know that I don't.

Don't worry, the Monster angle jacks fit OK.
I'm using the Sadowsky cables and they also fit.
I got my UV70 in December. I don't have any experience with any Sadowsky other than the UV70; but don't worry - it's a great bass. I love mine. And personally, I really like the blocks & binding. What color did you order?
