Fran,
Roger switched from the Standard Oval "football" Jack to the recessed Electrosocket Jacks. Gives it a cleaner more updated look..

the recessed jack is actually quite cool.
at first, i thought my right angle plugs wouldnt work, but once i tried it, the look is very clean, and it fits perfectly.
It doesn't look like you can get a 90 degree cord end on there.
Cool, I'd hate to have to shelf my monster cable. Wow, is that what those Mogami cords(20') are $144. Notice a big difference between them and and say a Monster?that's what i thought,
but trust me, works like a charm with all my right angle jacks, including my trusty self made canare, and my workhorse mogami cords.

It seems to me, from the posts so far, that the Metro vintage models far outnumber the Metro UV (ultra vintage) models and the standards (although they seem to be on par with the moderns). I can understand people choosing the vintage models for the vintage look but I wonder why the ultra vintage models aren't more popular.
I would have imagined that they would be at least as popular. Seeing how I have an ultra vintage on order, it makes me wonder whether there is something others know that I don't.

I'd love a number fellas! I've got my second one headed my way this week! This is my first one bought for me by my girlfriend Christmas 2006!
