Can anyone advise me how to really lower the action of the g string?
The saddle is touching the bridge plate, I knew Kjung did mention sadowskys are medium-action bass and someone also proposed filing/dremel the base of the saddle piece.
I just hope to find out has any one gone for a replacement saddle of a shallower depth. Yes, this MV5 has low neck relief, no buzz. Low action for B-D strings.
Somehow i think that the g string saddle is limited to drop further to create a curve profile for all the saddles to match the radius of the fingerboard.
Make sure the truss rod is adjusted so there is almost no relief, then if you need more saddle travel the traditional remedy is a shim in the neck pocket.
