2 years ago today I received my 50th Birthday present. My new Purple Standard 4. It still is my main bass and always will be. So, 2 more candles added but my 50th will always be special!

The body is ash. I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Funny that you got that for your 50th two years ago; I got this sweet baby (just in case anyone's forgotten about it) for my 40th two years ago. I may have mentioned that, but I've been staying away from TB as much as possible lately, so I kinda don't remember.

Which I still haven't seen, by the way. I just got my fridays off starting a week from tomorrow, so if you have any time coming up, I'm *still* dying to see and play that sweet axe.

Wow, that's true - I've had that bass for over a year now and you still haven't tried it! We'll set something up soon.

My apologies if this question has been covered...I'm a relatively new "proud father" of two beautiful Metros
Every bass I own is active...but it seems that if I switch to a Sadowsky in the middle of my set, my bass is A LOT louder...with all eq on each bass flat...do all Sadowsky preamps run that much hotter than others? Is there a way to combat this and keep both signals the same?

Check the control cavity to see if your other basses have a trim pot inside that is reducing the signal (some manufacturers include this so you can set the passive/active volumen to be in the ballpark). Sadowskys have a healthy signal, but I wouldn't consider them too hot.
