Club Sadowsky!!!

I think it goeas without saying, but I'll say it anyway....those of us who have experience with any company know first-hand what is available and what is not. If it helps any, last year there were no custom pickguards available and I'm not debating that issue. I am satisfied with my Sadowsky ad its custom pickguard. As for "ordering off the menu", people do it all the time whether in a resturant or a bass shop. I have asked Mike Tobias for options on my MTD and he will advise whether he can do it or not, just like any other luthier. He has in the past offered custom options that he did not agree with, like putting a MIDI piezo system on Jimmy Haslip's bass. If it were not for pioneers like Anthony Jackson and Vinnie and Joey over at Fodera, or Carl Thompson, there would be less contrabass guitars available because AJ "ordered off the menu" and got what he wanted and paid for. That's all I'm saying guys is that I eventually got what I wanted and that's all that counts. No one is "dissing" Mr. Sadowsky and he is familiar with my work as well so I have no reason to put him down.

but again,

you're comparing fully custom usa lines and we're talking about their NON usa lines, i.e. the Kingston & Metro/UV, where they are more standardized.

OK...In other SADOWSKY news. There is new stuff in stock on their website.

It always makes me nervous when I get the email that says the "in stock" list has been updated. Fortunately, while there is some nice new listings...there was nothing that made me want to reach for my wallet. I dodged a bullet this time. ;)

(mine is actually closer to the top one in color- maybe about half way between the two pics)

Those stock updates are killing me - just recently decided on acquiring a Vintage P/J 5-er. New or Pre-owned.....unsure. Just recently, I put my Yamaha Custom Tenor Sax up for sale and my Fender Custom Shop Jazz V. :crying: :crying:

Oh well, with a new Sadowsky Vintage Strat coming soon - gotta sell something and pocket the rest for the future 5. :hyper:
