When I ordered my P5 I got the Portabag with it. I ordered a hard case to store it in, but I always use the Portbag whenever I leave the house.

Hello, do you know why Sadowsky specifically uses hum cancelling pups instead of single coil pups in the Metroline Series, is there any special think that I missed ? And is there any chance to swap from hum cancelling to single coil pups when ordering Metroline, thank you !
And here’s a question:how many of you have a Sad hard case? Every one I’ve owned and all the ones I see locally have the portabag. I’ve never actually laid eyes on a case. It’s nice, but I’ll never use it.
I had one briefly but I didn't like it. I prefer the Portabags for almost everything. And here’s a question:how many of you have a Sad hard case? Every one I’ve owned and all the ones I see locally have the portabag. I’ve never actually laid eyes on a case. It’s nice, but I’ll never use it.

My 2016 Metroline came in a semi-rigid case. I played a lot of gigs with that bass, and the case was wearing out, so I ordered the alligator NYC hardshell case for it. I love the hardshell. Maximum protection for my bass, and the smaller overall size fits better into my subcompact hatchback too.And here’s a question:how many of you have a Sad hard case? I have an old Access? hard case that I bought with my Red JJ4 and a Portabag that I got when I bout ElMon’s PJ5. Love both types. And here’s a question:how many of you have a Sad hard case? Ordered my two One10 cabs February 4th, and received them February 27th. So happy with the sound, prefer them to my BB2s.
Since I have two very nice Reunion Blues gig bags, which meet my gig schlepp needs, I’ve always opted for the standard hard shell case. My new-ish NYC came with the faux alligator case, which is built like the Brooklyn Bridge. I like the hard cases for storage and moving. If I were doing fly dates, I would get a Port-a-Bag, because it seems to make the most sense for gate checking. And here’s a question:how many of you have a Sad hard case? I’m back in the club! NYC Will Lee 5 bought from a substantial collection of unplaced basses here locally. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen one in a hard case....

All this talk about this case and that case... who cares... do me a personal favor - get this G string right at the bridge![]()
Already fixed with a complete string change and setup mere minutes after that photo was taken. Thank for the input.....
Congrats and enjoy!
Looks like Fido approves of it too!

Thats Oscar. I think he was wondering why the bass was in his napping spot.
The way the Ash shows through and gives the transparent white just a tiny bit of pinkish hue is really great.
