Club Sadowsky!!!

Question on the Express. @deepestend . Where are they getting the wood for the bodies?

I finally got my hands on a couple of express, both RV4's. One felt and sounded pretty close to my metro but the neck had a very similar profile to my Satin. The other did not seem to have the same oomph and the neck was slightly thicker ( I have a very sensitive left hand ) I was able to dial in the oomph but the bass didn't seem to have the full Sadowsky feel. It was just a nice bass.

Am I just spoiled now by my Satin Deluxe?

Interesting that the neck profiles are different on two otherwise identical MetroExpress basses. My impression has always been that NYC necks are more substantial than Metros. Is that not the case with the Satin basses?

Our NYC Custom Built, Satin basses and MetroExpress are all cut from the identical CNC programming and other than finish sanding issues, should all feel the same. The MetroLine basses are cut on a shaper table and are not identical (but very close).

Definitely makes me want to drop an order for an exact duplicate of your purple bass. That's my colour and the quilted top with that flame maple neck and black hardware just puts it over the top!

Have you gigged out the new modern yet? Just wondering how you are enjoying it and how its sitting in the mix.

First gig is on the 26th. (We are working in a new guitarist) But, it’s been to many rehearsals and the Standard 4 is getting jealous. I’m really liking the different tone. It totally cuts and is very articulate! I love it!
