My buddy just got this one in. I got to play it for a hot minute and it was impressive. He used it in our church services this weekend and it sounded great in the PA. He told me today that if I ever want to take it to one of my gigs to just let him know......

Practicing today with Big Red, 3 Baer cabs and a Magellan 800. The fender too.... WOW! A bit much to carry around if you dare. Really, really lays down the bottom well with all of it engaged! Still a bit stiff and sore to play a year and 3 months after the broken wrist but I'm getting back into it. Not cleanly, but it will come back.

Played the low C and D# quite a bit today.....my Sadowsky PJ5 brought the thunder!
When I got my first Sadowsky it permanently liberated me from the midrange blackhole. The hours and dollars spent chasing that speculative "sweet spot" indeed...
MetroExpress Report: Just a quick check-in to share that my new 4-string Metro Express is a really terrific bass. I've owned two Metros and currently own a 5-string Deluxe Satin NYC. The Express compares extremely well in build quality, electronics, playability, and weight. The tone rocks. My Satin 5-er is alder/morado with nickel strings. The Express is ash/maple with the steel strings. So, the Express is a lot brighter and more rock growl than the Satin. Its nice to have both. If anyone is hesitating on the Express, I say you will not be disappointed. I like that at this price point I'm not afraid to just play it and worry less about nicking it up. Liberating.
Also - I've been playing only a 5-string for a couple of years so getting an Express 4 is like driving a fast sports car. Light, easy to handle, easy to move about. Fun!
