Not photoshopped! I have 2 of those older style mugs. Omg, I only have 2!!!I'd like a cup like the one pictured but I think that was photoshoped

Well, it’s a few days late but I was pretty slammed with shows since getting back into town...guess I’ll post now.
Last week I flew up to NYC to hang for a couple days to clear my head, enjoy beautiful NYC, eat some bagels...and officially take home my custom NYC build with the Super P and Super J pickups!
Simply put, this bass is AMAZING! The Super P really nails the traditional and reverse P configurations, and as a surprise Lisa was able to find a way to make the Super P run BOTH sets of P pickups at once. To say I was humbled and blown away by such a surprise would be a massive understatement.
I’m in the process of lock-in down studio dates to make some videos of the Super P and Super J by themselves, with a drummer, with different Sadowsky strings, etc. if anyone has any suggestions for what they’d like to hear from the Super P and Super J I’d be happy to try working it in!
And now, because I haven’t given her a cool name yet, here’s my new baby!!

WOW! NICE!!...And now, because I haven’t given her a cool name yet, here’s my new baby!!
Not sure if there is an answer to this question. The Sadowsky PJ I recently picked up has Sadowsky strings. Outside of knowing the feel of the tension is there any visual or discernible way of knowing if they're blue or black label? They have the gray silk on them. There's still some life in the strings but the previous owner said that he never changed them while he owned so they're at least a year old.
Thank you, I may be mistaken on what they are then. The seller stated that they were Sadowsky strings on it.Blue Label has blue threading on it. Black Label isnt.

As noted, Sadowsky Blue Labels have blue silk. I believe the Sadowsky black labels have gray/silver silk.Thank you, I may be mistaken on what they are then. The seller stated that they were Sadowsky strings on it.
Congratulations. I would like to pitch the name "Franklin," after nobody in particular. She just looks like a Franklin. And now, because I haven’t given her a cool name yet, here’s my new baby!!
Any chance grey vs black silk had anything to do with stainless vs nickel? Been so long since i used black, i don't remember what mine were.

Well that pretty much sums it up for me that it's probably a moot point to find out. I've been using D'Addario nickels on my other basses for few years but I want to try something else. I always seem to go back to those after trying others though. Ever since they stopped making Slowounds its been a constant search.I got a set of Black Labels SS 4 strings 3 months ago and the silk was silver. I just got another set a few weeks ago and the silk is Black. So, don’t think it has to do with stainless vs nickel. Not sure why though???
