My 8.4 lb Metro Express. I love this bass! So great on stage. I changed out the white pickguard for a mint guard.
As Vic and others predicted, the Sadowsky 5 string Metro Express I bought 4-5 months ago has become my "first-grab" bass for gigging. The Metro-express exudes the quality of any bass I've played. It makes me want a Satin NYC 5 with Alder/RW.
My particular Metro Express 5 is super light at just around 8lbs! So comfy. My primary bass for the past 10 years has been my Nordstrand VJ5 Modern w/Big Singles. It is an incredible bass that is not going anywhere but this Sadowsky ME-5 is winning me over. It is incredibly musical, easy to play, comfortable *(8lbs) and fits so well in the band mix.

Overall I always prefer true single coils but will say the new stacked coil HC's Sadowsky is using now is much closer to that sound than the split coil HC's in the video.
They are just in the US models. The Metros and the M-Express get the older split coils, which are fine pickups, but IMO the stacked are better in every way.
Another stellar job by Ricky Minor and his crew on their years Kennedy Centers Honors show. The EWF stuff was great!

Big news from Sadowsky: Warwick Gmbh to be Exclusive Licensee for Sadowsky Guitars Ltd.
We’d like to announce a new licensing and distribution partnership between Sadowsky Guitars and Warwick. While Sadowsky Guitars will continue to run the Sadowsky NYC Custom Shop, where we will make our NYC Custom Shop Instruments, Warwick will build and distribute our Metro and MetroExpress instruments. Warwick will also distribute our strings and accessories. The new, Warwick-made Metro and MetroExpress Models will debut at the 2020 NAMM show at the Warwick/Sadowsky booth.
From Roger: "I am very proud to announce this exclusive licensing agreement with Warwick GmbH of Germany. The agreement will allow me to return to my roots and spend more time at my workbench while allowing more players to have access to my instruments than ever before.”

Yes, the band was stellar. But did anyone else think it was ironic that in a show honoring all these great musical acts, none of the house band musicians were listed in the closing credits? Sad.
Hopefully, Warwick can maintain the extraordinary level of build quality and CUSTOMER SERVICE that Roger and the gang have established. Time will tell, I guess.
