I basically ordered this bass, but in Vintage Shoreline Gold with a Tort guard. And with single coils instead of the hum canceling pickups. It should go nicely with my NYC 24 Fret and Satin Deluxe Verdine White.

That one's Shoreline Gold. Vintage Shoreline Gold is a bit more pale, like this color. Still, very close.
A question for @Sadowsky
How does all of this effect parts and accessories. I’ve been waiting for a set of 5 string stacks for a few weeks per our emails, which is completely understandable. Will pickups be available direct in the future? What about other accessories like strings and care products? Will there be separate parts/accessories for New York VS others?

That’s pretty much like mine when it was born. When I got it it was wearing a parchment guard but I’m considering having an aged pearl one made for it. I like the tort a lot better with the more silvery vintage shoreline.
I had the opportunity to chat with Roger this morning, and this is the impression I am left with. I truly believe that we are about to enter the "Golden Age" for Sadowsky Guitars. It's not just the German Sadowsky instruments which are going to be the next evolutionary step in craftsmanship and tone, The Sadowsky NYC Custom Shop will be going through the same transition expanding beyond the foundation of it's current offerings. I guarantee you, the next decade of Sadowsky NYC instruments will ultimately be the most sought after Sadowsky basses. As it's not my place, I'll leave the details to Roger when he is ready.
I think the "Pre-Warwick hype" of boosting the markup on the older instruments will go out the window when the new instruments hit the market, as the quality and tone of the German made Sadowskys will be phenomenal and heavily sought out. Everyone has their specific tastes when it comes to instruments, and there is more than plenty to choose from out of all the instrument lines Roger & Company have made over the years.
I can't wait for everything to fall into place this Spring so I can order my next Sadowsky this coming Summer!

I'm still trying to tackle the differences between Sadowsky NYC and Warwick Masterbuild... They'll both be chambered, customized and spendy, but I like the handwork Lisa and company do out of Manhattan particularly in fretwork and a tight neck pocket. Warwick utilizes more high tech machinery.

According to what Roger posted here yesterday is that the German Masterbuilt will be a satin finish along with the Metroline. My take is that the Masterbuilt series will be like what the satin series has been to this point??? Just a guess...
Roger mentioned that Satin Series will continue to be built in NYC, but exclusively for their In-Stock page. They’re just not being built to order any longer.

You're right, I apologize for misinformation, I didn't read it correctly. Nor did I interpret the satins for in stock @TolerancEJ. I'm off my game today

Well, it is still unclear regarding the in-stock statement. German press indicated that the NYC shop will now only operate on direct orders - hence, there will be no in-stock page (my interpretation).
This is Roger's statement regarding the Satins and the way I read this, the first sentence says it all. Until then you might still find some Satin's on the in-stock page.
"The current NYC Satin Series will be phased out by May. We are no longer taking new orders, but will continue to build Satins for our In-Stock page. The new MetroLine and Sadowsky Masterbuilt will all have satin finish options."
I see. Continue to build Satins for our In-Stock page - until May, when they will be phased out.

We will continue our workshop as the Sadowsky NYC Custom Shop. If you prefer our personal attention and a more artisanal workshop, we will always be here for you. However, the quality of the Warwick production is second to none.

Only the Masterbuilt series will have chambered bodies. The Metroline will be solid but guaranteed to be 8.9 pounds or less. For light weight and great tone, I have chosen Okoume as the body wood for the MetroExpress basses.
Satin and High Polish finishes will be available in both the Masterbuilt and Metroline basses. The MetroExpress will be high polish only.
