I just realized they all appear to have Schaller style strap buttons too. Interesting.
EDIT: the fancy blue quilted one that has been in all the new pics appears to be available at Fretnation. Schaller style buttons on that one too..

It's weird how he doesn't list the Sadowsky name on his website under gear brands he sells.
wonder if it cost the same if ordering the same spec from NYC$6,700 for the “Transparent Whale Blue” on Fret Nation.
what sense does it make to buy a sadowsky from germany that is more expensive than the original from n.y.c.

To be fair, that was the price listed on the tag in the NAMM photos. Not saying I would buy it but it should not be a surprise.
Zoom in on the tag just below the blue quilt and you will see.
I think once this first wave of these first run, maybe NAMM models end and the actual production models are produced the prices will line up with Roger's press release about the lines. If you zoom in on the photo above on the white JJ MetroLine it says it's $1040, according to the press release it's supposed to be $2490.
That white Metro JJ is listed for $3,165 with shipping on reverb. These first 6 listed on reverb just seem to be way overpriced, maybe it’s just because they are the concept Basses.
It says 3040 not 1040. I’ve been wondering about import duties and all of that.
I could not blow the pick up that big to see the price. $3,040 is the reverb price plus 125.00 shipping.
I guess my curiosity long term is, with Roger moving his USA NYC shop over the next 6 months (rumored to be smaller) How will this effect US production. Will there still be “Off the Rack” NYC Basses available, or will it become Custom order only. Also what will happen with custom build lead times. Time will tell on these questions, I’m confident Roger will get it all worked out. I’m personally set on NCY’s for now, but you never know when you’ll get the itch for something new and different. As said before by others Sadowsky Basses are kind of addictive, the quality, feel, fit, and finish just check all the boxes.
Unfortunate, IMO, that they moved to Schaller. I would never try to use a standard strap with those. The dual purpose Dunlops make mush more sense. Of course, it's an easy swap but the Dunlops were such a great touch and attention to detail with Sadowsky.
Oh definitely can NOT use a standard strap with the Schaller lock buttons! They are not like the Dunlop Dual Design that will accommodate a strap without the lock mechanism. Strap buttons / locks are an easy enough swap that I'm sure some dealers (cough) would have no problem doing for you.
With the Dunlop strap locks, the "original" design can not use a strap without a lock either... You must use the Dual Design or Traditional design.

The schallers might be a one off because these are concept demos. Maybe @SLaPiNFuNK could clarify and point out hardware differences.
