Club Sadowsky!!!

Yesterday, the big FedEx truck arrived and left a giant box on the porch! Not another bass, but now I have a spectacular Sadowsky archtop in the collection! Yippee! Such a voiceful instrument!

Sexy sexy sexy... such a beautiful instrument. I'd be hesitant to put my hands on that - my version of "playing a six-string guitar" is probably not worthy of an instrument of that caliber. :D :roflmao:

Sadowsky brethren... Finances are dictating that I have to let my NYC Satin Bora Blue burst go. It kills me, but right now I have no choice with the economy as it is. If interested, message me. Here's a link to the Classified ad on TB:

Oh noooo! I wish I could buy this for you and hang onto it until you want it back. I just got a new archtop and I have a new bass coming any day now too. I’m tapped on funds.

Sorry you have to let the bass go...

Just wanted to mention: I followed the Famous Shamus link. Very nice job on the video clips! First rate vox, mix, and pix.

BTW, I just noticed that #8311 was just re-listed on the Shop page

If that bass had the neck from #8664 on it

....then I might have to a) forget about my reticence with 19mm spacing, b) have a loooong discussion with the wife, and c) figure out what else might need to be sold, including anatomical parts.

Good thing for me.

The Eagle has landed. Or maybe it’s the unicorn. After a thorough search, I located a Berg NV115 in near-new condition in Denver. Conveniently, my brother lives close by. He checked it out, brokered the deal as my Bass Agent, and shipped it to me. Nice match for my SA200. A bit EQ sensitive (that’s what the Broughton low/high pass is for). Some have described this cab as boxy sounding, though as I break it in, it is opening up. Nice low end. And a different flavor from my Aggie DB112NT stack. Happy happy.

It's a sealed cab, so yeah, those who like the deep lows of ported cabs might consider it boxy sounding. I've always loved the tight low end of sealed cabs, especially when gigging in challenging acoustic environments.
