Beautiful! Looks like you could dive in and take a swim in that quilt pattern.Hi guys,
just bought a new MetroLine JJ Limited Edition 2020.
First impressions are 100% positive, beautiful bass:

Weight is almost the same of my NYC Satin Modern 5-24.
I checked the electronics and I confirm that on German Sadowsky pots are MECs and the main PCB is different from the NYC (different part number and so on).
It seems to me that switching from passive to active, the output signal is boosted more compared to the NYC (on this last one with both controls of bass and treble at 0, switching from passive to active the output signal is almost the same). This is not a problem for me, because I never play active basses in passive mode.
Does anyone know if graphite bars are inserted in the neck and if the body is chambered like the NYC line?
My only (little) complaint is the polishing cloth is missing.
I wrote to Warwick asking about the cloth and also to know if my bass is a pre production model built for NAMM 2020 (my bass was delivered to the store at the beginning of August).
View attachment 3951271 Well I’m joining the club. Just ordered a metro express in sage green from bass club Chicago.
not sure if this is a Japanese one or Warwick built one but I’m thinking japan build
How much was the instrument? If you are paying roughly $899.00 it's the Chinese made Metro Express, if your paying roughly $1875.00 then it's a Japanese made Metro Express.
1875. I didn’t realize the Warwick ones were at that price point.
thanks
I have the same bass in CAR. It's a beautiful bass! Enjoy!1875. I didn’t realize the Warwick ones were at that price point.

Beautiful bass. I didn't get a polishing cloth either. They are still waiting for the Sadowsky cloths. They send me a Warwick one. If you ordered the bass in 2020 you can be sure this is not a NAMM pre-production. You can also see this at the serial nr. It should end on: -20. Last 2 digits is the year. NAMM ones end on -19. Congrats and enjoy this beauty.Hi guys,

I understand from a message i've got from Thomann, that first China ME basses will appear on the market in a few weeks. The Warwick/Sadowsky Metro Express instruments are manufactured in China. The Sadowsky Metro Express in sage green from Bass Club Chicago looks to be a Japanese made Metro Express judging from the price he is asking.
