I think that if there was someone that could make custom anodized pick guards I'd have one for every bass no matter the cost. Your mockup looks awesome.

Its never wrong to pack a change of clothes. Yet basic black looks great on that bass. Did you think of black anodized?
Sadly, no. But I have seen black anodized on rare occasion. It looks way cool.

Do you prefer pure single coil or HB jazz pickups in your Sados? Why?
Is there a way how to say pickup is SC or HB from the appearance?
Any pickups history overview anywhere? Dimarzio, Nordstrand, SD...
I know many questions, just would like to have bit better knowhow

Prefer singles for tone, but don’t use them live. Singles have a clearer, more natural sound. The hum and buzz that comes about when you don’t dime both of them has always been an issue for me. I don’t like it at all, and it’s not something I want to present to bandmates, soundmen, or contactors/bandleaders that write checks. Most homes that I’ve lived in didn’t have clean AC power, and I’ve always played at places that rely on neon lighting with cash registers and ice machines on the power lines to light up the entire establishment, bathrooms included. Buzz city, USA. Luckily, Sadowsky and a handful of other manufacturers make great sounding humbuckers for Jazz basses.
It seems like everybody else’s single coil J experiences have been hum and buzz free if everything I’ve read the last 2 decades is correct. I guess it’s only me that has these issues.
I have a Metro JJ with hum-cancelling pickups and a TYO Teppei model with single coils. The HC pickups sound great. The singles sound even greater. Not sure who makes what—and pickup vendors may have varied over time and place of manufacture. This inquiring mind would also like to know more.
Roger has used different pickup manufactures through the years.
HCs were made by Dimarzzio, now I think he uses Seymour Duncan, at least for NYC basses.
I have a metro with SC that are made by Nordstrand, the quietest singles I've ever used, but don't sound like typical single coils IMHO.

I have those Sadowsky/Nordstrand SCs in a good WL5 Metro that got some aftermarket love. Have not yet gigged out with it, but it has been entirely hum-free in several domestic settings, and I really like the way it sounds. I've not been a j-bass guy over the years, usually favoring paired humbuckers, but took a flyer on this one, based on exposure to a Sadowsky single-cut with the WL mid-boost and the 1.75" nut. The neck on the Metro is a lot thicker than on that SC, but it's tolerable, and the range of great tones is very satisfying. This is the first time I've been really satisfied with a J. Perhaps those pickups don't sound like typical SCs, but they surely sound good to me.

I've been playing with some of these guys for many years, we've made it just for fun, but nobody thought that how convincing it will be.. I hope you'll like it.
And of course, I've played my Metro M5-24, no question, an absolute executor...
