what a beautiful piece of engineering, woodworking, and musical ability/possibility.
not forgetting style.

many thanks to Roger and his crew over @Warwick de.
this is my first Sadowsky and it's a blast to play.

btw couple tiny's-anyone having trouble registering ownership with Sadowsky/Warwick?
the warwick site for registering gets along ok for a few inputs but some of the drop- down answers aren't populated and so you can't get past to the next tab.
Mac and iOs.

oh and the control/battery cover keeps coming loose and the battery drops out, are replacements available these days?
I'm the original owner.

thanks again, stoked to be in y'all's esteemed and fortunate company!

happy holidays

Yeah, these are killer. Love how big and punchy they sound and the B string is killer. I had the Metroline LTD for a couple of weeks and loved the feel of the finish. You can kind of feel the grain. Then I sold it and upgraded to the Masterbuilt addition. Was it worth it? Hmm.... I don't know but they both are sure amazing. So far, the German LTD Metro/Masterbuilt are my favorite Sadowsky basses to date — including any of the NYC's I've had.

Somewhere has to be cut the building costs for Metroline...

I don’t think anybody would dispute that. What I and others are objecting to is the Warwick snap on/off plastic cover because they break so easily. The plastic screw on cover used on previous Metrolines would be fine.

Easy enough to mod, but one shouldn't have to on a new bass. For Warwick basses it's not a question of "if" the tabs will fail, but "when." Warwick users have had to put up with this for years, even decades, but Sadowsky owners shouldn't have to.

Hey, does anyone happen to know if the tuners used on the SadowskyWarwick Metroline 4/24 are Hipshot Ultralights-stamped "Sadowsky"-or (as I think) something else?

I have Ultralights on other guitars and they seem smoother and more precise-would like to swap the stock ones out for the better version if the screw hole is compatible.

Thanks! and Happy Christmas, etc...

Happy Holidays everyone.

I have a beautiful Sadowsky hard case that came with my NYC Modern 5 string, and wondered if anyone was interested in trading their NYC Portabag or one of the older Ultralight foam cases for it?

This also fits my NYC 4-string Jazz perfectly.

I’ve posted a “For Trade” ad in the classifieds with more photos so I don’t clutter up this thread. https://www.talkbass.com/forums/for-sale-parts-strings-and-accessories.129/create-thread

Thanks.

I've found the German tuners to work as well as the ultralights on my NYC. I also prefer the metal stamped Sadowsky than the plastic look on the NYC. This was one of my areas of concern along with the Just a Nut, but both are good on my Metroline PJ

thanks!
maybe I have the pegs a little too tight but HipShot have a way with tuners.

do Warwick make the tuners for the Metroline? I thought somewhere I saw Roger talking about a very long relationship with HipShot but maybe it was NYC's hardware he was referring to, and not the later relationship with Warwick.

I don't know who makes them. Would be interesting to hear what others think, was I just lucky?
