Club Sadowsky!!!

Thanks for the info! Forget to say that my DJ5 had Nordstrand Split Coil Hum Canceling pickups with J-Retro Preamp! Great setup but just too heavy for me to enjoy anymore! I do tend to lean to a more modern sound and like you I don't mess with my settings much!

I completely missed that info about the DJ5 pickups and pre in your signature :banghead:

I've always had the Lakland/Hanson singles in mine, but did try out an Audere in it briefly. It was a very musical preamp, but I found myself never using it and preferring the passive tone of the bass better. It doesn't find it's way out of the house much any more as I prefer my Sadowsky basses (the DJ5 is actually loaned to a friend at the moment).

I say scratch that Sadowsky itch if you're able.

Thank You! Thinking I will do just that!

I scratched my Sadowsky itch today. I had an RV4 a long time ago. Probably one of the nicest basses I’ve owned. Foolishly sold it. Even tried to track it down but no luck.

Today I went with a Metro Express (Japanese) 5-21 to be a counter to my Roscoe Classic P4 with TI flats. I plan to use the Sadowsky for our 80’s rock and more modern stuff where the P doesn’t quite have the sound. Looking forward to gigging basses from 2 builders I highly respect.

?? I am trolling the group trying to make a decision on a new bass! Unfortunately I can't get my hands on a Sadowsky to try them out so I am flying blind! I am leaning towards the MetroLine Will Lee 5? I currently have a 77 Fender Jazz 4...Modulus Quantum 5...and just sold a Lakland DJ5 only because it weighed 12.8lbs. Played great though!
Would I dig the Sadowsky Will Lee?
I have read every thing I can about the Sadowsky brand and just need a push for or against?
Thanks for your thoughts!!

Well I pulled the trigger and made a deposit on a Metroline Will Lee 5! Should see it sometime in March!!
Can't Wait!!
