Club Sadowsky!!!

But it definitely went with the 59 burst on my other one, even though it also has an ebony board and 24 frets, which isn't really "classic".

I may respectfully disagree with you on that point, sir! Any kind of burst adds some “classic” vibe to an instrument…though admittedly I’m quite biased as all but one of my basses have bursts currently. :D

So today my beloved 2012 NYC Standard 4 turns 10 Years Old! This was my 50th Birthday present (yeah, do the math :smug:) and Roger sure did hit this one out of the park! Built by LEH and of course Roger’s signature final bench test! This bass sounds and plays amazing and it will always be with me.

I’m still very thankful Roger, for you making my dream bass!!! Happy 10th for my Sadowsky and whatever I am….

my first Sadowsky was made in 2004, NYC, though I didn't buy it new. Trying to remember when I bought it, though, it's been a while. I do know I owned it by fall of 2008 at least. But my first custom is newer. I think I got it in '13, maybe '12. We might share a birthday! lol

My first Sadowsky is one of the last 10 Satins, built by LEH and set up by the GOAT himself.

Fantastic instrument!

It too was my 50th birthday gift to myself.

Funny how the stories are close.
