I may respectfully disagree with you on that point, sir! Any kind of burst adds some “classic” vibe to an instrument…though admittedly I’m quite biased as all but one of my basses have bursts currently.

The German MetroLine necks are a poly finish and do not require stand protectors.

So today my beloved 2012 NYC Standard 4 turns 10 Years Old! This was my 50th Birthday present (yeah, do the math 
) and Roger sure did hit this one out of the park! Built by LEH and of course Roger’s signature final bench test! This bass sounds and plays amazing and it will always be with me.

my first Sadowsky was made in 2004, NYC, though I didn't buy it new. Trying to remember when I bought it, though, it's been a while. I do know I owned it by fall of 2008 at least. But my first custom is newer. I think I got it in '13, maybe '12. We might share a birthday! lol
