Dont know the seller but this looked to be a good deal for someone looking for a 4 string SMX. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
Hello, this model is the SME not SMX (the 2023 model with SADOWSKY logo)
I just bought a 4 strings SME for 335 € on the big german site, dropped a VCT preamp in and I'm quite happy with it. Sounds good even with the original preamp and the fretwork is perfect, weight is 3.998 kgs.

Hi all,
does anyone know if Sadowsky pickups installed in NYC line (Nordstrand?) are still available for sale from NY workshop?

I tried to search in Sadowsky NY website but there are no mentions at all about that.

Thanks

You could call the shop directly. They are wonderful folks working there. But since it would be a costly call from Italy to the US, you could send them an email.

Lot's of shedding with a newly acquired MIJ Modern 24 over the weekend. A rare ash-morado combination here. Yoshi's shop in Japan was amazing. That was a very special 17 year run.

So I have a MIJ UV70 5…it has the shorter (3/8th I think shaft). Does hipshot make a version of these tuners with longer shafts. I “think” my old 2000 NYC had 3/8ths, but they longer and made it easier to change strings.

Hey all. I just received a used metroline modern 4 today. Unfortunately, the front pickup seems to be dead.

I use the pan control and when it's all the way forward everything is fine. As I turn it toward the middle position where both pickups should be engaged, there is no tonal change. When I turn it all the way back where the front pickup should be engaged, the bass is silent. With both pickups on, I should be able to tap the pickup with a screwdriver and hear it come through the speaker. It does that for the rear pickup but not the front.

Here's a picture of the control cavity? Any ideas of quick things to try? I replaced the battery but that didn't help.
