Thanks for posting this, I stand corrected. Interesting that the considerably more expensive metroline was solid while the metro express was chambered. Costing probably relates to the fact that the metrolines were made in the Yoko Kikuchi Sadowsky specific factory, while the metro expresses were outsourced elsewhere in Japan and therefore possibly with different hardware along with mass production methods. For myself, I like a weight of 8.5 to 9.0 pounds - below that is just too light for my taste. So far as any sound difference between chambered/unchambered - Roger stated back in the day along the lines that there was no difference between the NYC and the metroline, just way more options for the nyc.According to Roger they were chambered.
Somebody should write a book on the history of Sadowsky basses......
