You purchase it with the jazz plate and manually remove the knobs from the plate. Easy fix.
I can't stand waiting for my Sadowsky PJ Metroline 5 string. It finally comes tomorrow. I am taking the day off from work so I could be here and sign for it.
Congratulations! I have two of the four-strings, and they are among my go-to gigging basses. Great sounding, versatile and lightweight. They're "extension of my body" basses, at least for me. Enjoy!
I have the same bass with the Morado FB - it's really hard to put down once you start playing! I'd say "Enjoy it" but I know you will!
I need help with putting back the volume knob on my bass.
I removed the plastic over the pick guard and it did not move so nicely around the knobs. So I loosened the screw on the volume knob, removed it and then removed the plastic. When I put the knob back on the shaft, I gently tightened the screw. However the knob moves half way and then I get a scrapping sound. So I removed the knob again, made sure the knob was fitted all the way down in the shaft and tried again. Same problem.
So I moved the knob and tried several times with only little success. The shaft moves freely when you move it with your fingers.
Any ideas before I drive 45 minutes to Guitar Center?

Did you leave a small gap below the knob?
he said that because he's assuming the issue is the knob is scraping against the pickguard causing the problem. If you raise the knob up slightly away from the pickguard, it should rotate freely.
Here is the hack - remove knob, make yourself a little card stock thing as seen here. You’ll need something thicker than a business card, maybe like the back of a notebook . It raises the level of how far the knob can go down in a consistent manner - this prevents the knob from going too low and causing friction. Also insures the bottom of the knob is parallel with the top of the instrument or control plate. Reinstall knob, pull out the card stock, and you’re all set.

Hi gang, I recently traded for a used MetroLine Hybrid PJ 5-string. I noticed that the bridge pickup is noticeably quieter than the neck pickup, so that when I use the pan knob, the output is loudest on P only and gets lower as I pan to the bridge.
Is that typical of these basses, or do I need to adjust the pickup heights to balance? I’m not sure how they’re set up from the factory.

I rmb the advice is to adjust the bridge PU as high as possible, then lower the P to balance the output.
Good advice, especially if you plan to use each pickup equal amounts of time. I usually want to solo (or at least favor) the P. So I get the best P sound I can and then raise the J as much as I can to match it. It’s always a compromise, based on what settings you will use most.
I finally pulled the trigger on a Modern 5 Metro Express. That $999 sale at Sweetwater was too good to resist.
