Club Sadowsky!!!

Roger Sadowsky and his production manager Lukasz were great to work with for this one I just got. Can’t ask for better service and build quality.

Oooooh!!!

A Big Rig on a Sadowsky!!!
Highly recommended! The bass had a Sadowsky soap bar when I acquired it but it sounded a bit bland to me compared to the P pickup. I saw an LEH bass with a similar pickup configuration which had a BigRig bridge pickup, so I installed the BigRig bridge (wired series) and was quite pleased with the improvement. It has more output and a more P-like voicing which is a better match with the neck pickup. It can add focus vs just the neck pickup, but without altering the underlying voice like a J-pickup does. Alder body, Sadowsky P-pickup and preamp, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. This is my desert island P-bass. The tone, feel, and mojo are just right for so many songs I play.

I wish Sadowsky would bring back their neoprene guitar strap (the one pictured below). I use mine every day and really like it. Unfortunately, it’s my one and only. Not sure why Sadowsky discontinued the strap… low sales, maybe?

I guess I could find another neoprene type of strap, but what reminded me was I stumbled across a Yonit Spiegelman YouTube video where she was recommending these types of straps and specifically pointed out her Sadowsky strap as a great example. You can see it here:

Agreed. I have a stash of them. I'm not using them, as I'm on an LK straps kick at the moment, but I don't want to get rid of them... #gearhoarderproblems ;)

I echo the half-guard idea. I think it's a way underrated option for this kind of thing.
Way underrated, I’ve been searching tSadowsky half guard basses and have only seen a couple, can we get some of that up here please!!

Pretty sure this is who made the Sadowsky straps.

Thanks for the info/link!

Big shoutout to Sadowsky!
I had problems with more stitchings on the Portabag.
So I sent a mail to Roger Sadowsky and Sadowsky Germany.

Although I had no guarantee anymore but only started using the gigbag in June 2025, they sent me a new portabag!!

Great service!
Sadowsky rules!

After using my trusted NYC portabag for I don’t no how many years it was worn out.
So I took out the never used one I got with a masterbuilt German Sadowsky.
With my ‘66 jazz bass in it for today’s gig.
On the trainstation when taking it of this happened, the bass dropped on the floor.

In my 44 years of playing I never had that, not even with the cheapest gigbags.

Just like the German Sadowskys I don’t like their gigbags too.
(Yes, I’m very angry)
End of rant.
