Club Sadowsky!!!

This is a crummy pic of the RV5:(...but shows off it's current stablemates nicely...

Continued swervery...
What preamp was in there when you had it?
Maybe OBP3?
When I got it, it had an Audere in it, which I didn't care for at all.
It has a Nord 3 band with passive tone in it now, which I like lots.

can some please measure there metro PJ hybrid and measure from the 12 fret to the middle of the magnets of the bass side of the P and from the 12th to the middle of the mags on the j? thanks all....
Pushing the tape measure's end up against the bridge side of the 12th fret...

11" to the center of the bass side of the P, and 14.25" to the center of the J.

And just for posterity, just slightly over 12" (say 12 1/16") to the center of the treble side of the P.

Tell me more about what you're comparing. :)

thanks for that VIC!!! well.....I had one sometime ago and it sounded great and I'm looking at adding a J pup to my MIA p bass with a sadowsky pre with VTC. there is so much discussion on what position sounds best for the J (with the P in the traditional spot) 60's position (14.5 inches from the 12th or 1/2 inch further for 70's position. Roger is always on top of what sounds good, so I thought I would do the same spacing. it seems like the J is actually .25 closer than even a 60's position! any comments??

My PJ:
from the 12 fret to the middle of the magnets of the treble side of the P: 28cm - 11"
from the 12 fret to the middle of the magnets of the bass side of the P: 31 cm. - 12.02"
from the 12th to the middle of the mags on the j: 36.5 cm - 14.37"

My J:
from the 12th to the middle of the mags on the bridge j: 36.5 cm - 14.41"
from the 12th to the middle of the mags on the neck j: 27.6 cm - 10.87"

I was bored last night around 1am and decided to throw something together and put the Sadowsky on tape. It is a sloppy job, but I think the Sadowsky just sounds killer. It has maybe 5% bass boost and about 15% treble boost. Other than that, there is no eq going on. The little solo piece behind is solo'd bridge pup with a bit of chorus and reverb on it.

Here is a link. I think it is only avail for a few days.

That tone is fat for sure! Which Sadowsky is featured? I wish I could whip something up like that in the middle of the night. Nice work.
