Hi Pete.
It's 9" radius, 20 frets, full size solid ash body .. guess that's a UV. I have the original order and receipt and that's what it says on it. This bass looks great in person. There is some subtle flame in the body both front and back. Also the PJ has a birdseye board with a nice amount of 'eyes' but wish it had a few more. It's pretty light too and if the order sheet didn't say solid ash body I would have bet money it was chambered, but it's a mid-year 2004 so I tend to agree with the original order sheet.

Also, my NYC UVJ4 is a bit different too... It has 60's position pups. It's actually a 59' burst but the site has it labeled at 'two-tone'. Since I bought it last year as my retirement gift to myself :D, I got a b/w/b pick guard and a tort. The tort resides on it now. This bass looks way better in person. The zoomed in shot from the site (link below) shows the very cool specked maple board.. I love the look. My dream board is a highly flamed maple board though.

I just picked this up from fellow Tb'r Simon Paez. It's the most stunning Sadowsky I've ever owned. I'll take some new pics as soon it arrives on Wednesday. I can't wait :hyper:

That is very cool. I really like the concept of an ash/maple P/J 5 with 70s j spacing on a P body.

A buddy of mine has a Lull PJ exactly like this... P body, 70's spaced bridge pickup, and while his bass sounds great, I definitely prefer the fatter sound of the 60's spacing... especially on a PJ, and especially with an ash/maple combo. IMHO!

If I would have ordered a new one I would have specified the 60's Jpup myself. It's fine where it's at just have to eq it.

So far I've run it on the blend detente(notch) or just P for that earthy scooped but yet mid-under the mix lovely P tone.

I do favor the bridge sometimes, but for the most part, I do just as you do... fully blended or solo'ing the P.

Howdy!

Back in July I visited the shop and placed my order for my dream bass, which was a Will Lee. On Feb. 11, I got these two pics of my bass, and I didn't post them at the time, since I wanted to wait until it was in my hands. But the waiting has really gotten hard in the weeks since I got the pics.

I just can't wait any more though -- it looks just too cool not to share! It's still in finishing, and I really hope it gets here before next Wednesday, which will be my last gig before we have to head out of town for a few weeks for my daughter to get some tests and procedures done at the Cleveland Clinic. :spit:

Anyway, it's a Will Lee, with burl maple top and birdseye maple board (vintage tint), '59 burst. I had always thought natselection's #5021 was the most beautiful bass I'd seen, and so I ordered the same colors/woods, but in a Will Lee. It's nice and light at 7.85 lbs., and I like the way the burl top is fancy, but not as blingy as quilt or flame -- it almost looks like a regular '59 burst at first glance, and I like the way the burl works with the burst.

We're just hoping that this time they can tell us something. Last time we went for a second opinion (at Seattle Childrens' Hospital) they told us: "Your daughter has really bad seizures, we don't have any idea why, and you'll have to just try lots of different meds." Yeah. Um, we already knew that. :spit:

Hopefully the folks at the Cleveland Clinic can give us something more than "you're screwed" as either a diagnosis or treatment plan. :atoz:

back OT, I really do like the look of your bass too!!!
