Club Sadowsky!!!

Hey Gang,
I’ve had my Sadowsky for a year. I’ve noticed some “light scratches” under the G string on the body near the neck from normal playing which is fine. I went ahead and ordered the Sadowsky Restoration Cleaner and Polish. I’m positive that the products will work great in removing my scratches and making my bass look great again. My question, since the Restoration Cleaner has micro abrasives in it is it possible to wear out the finish? How often is too often to use this stuff?

I have never seen anyone wear through our body finish, either by playing or polishing!

Yeah, but there's a REASON there's that many made... :)

Ok, just ribbin' ya... sorta'... :) Seriously tho, I'd still say at least leave the tort guard on there even if you switch the hardware for black.

While I am normally a fan of black hardware, on a classic looking bass with a '59 burst, I definitely prefer the chrome hardware and tort guard.

I will have to say, yes. I finally replaced my HC to SCs last night on my Standard 5. First thing I noticed after plugging it in is that high end spank is rolled off. There is a nice mid punch in there as well that the HC scoop out. These are subtle but, you can hear a difference. Also, to my ears the bass sounded alot clearer. I could not hear any hum while blended. Even when soloing each pickup it was quiet.

I will get to hear them in my rig tomorrow night at some decent volume so I will have a better reoprt on them.

But, to answer your question. Yes, you will hear tonal differences. IMHO it is a good thing. I am pleased after a brief audition of them last night.
