Oh... yeah, I prolly would need a wide-angle for that. :) If folks here don't mind me posting other brands... at least just to answer this question... I also have an F-Bass VF5 (alder/rw), an Alleva Coppolo LG5 (alder/rw), a Nordy VJ5 "Classic" full 70's spec (including the wider frets) (ash/maple), and a Fender Geddy Lee. So yeah, that'd be 8 total... at least relatively faithful to the J bass theme. :) More if I'd toss in the hippie sammich basses I have, but still nowhere near even approaching what tombowlus has. :)

Well, at least in the Sadowsky arena, yeah, BUT, don't forget about the two alder/rw J style basses I have... oh man, VERY VERY nice... but still... you're right... ash/maple gets played most often. :)

You better believe it, and at some point, I'll have the tracks from this CD, and I'll ask about at least posting clips from the tracks. This particular bass player is a current music major at a local but well known liberal arts school, so he's a really good bass player. The CD is for the Decatur Park Singers. They're fairly well known, travel a lot, and do well in regional (and I think also national) competitions. :)

Hmmm... thought you played it at that last GTG? I guess not. Thing is, you REALLY have to hear it in a mix for the full effect, so you'll prolly just have to get one someday. :)

+1 Brighter and 'grindier' than alder/RW spec, and more punchy and burpy than the full 70's spec. Best of both worlds IMO! All the Sadowsky clips on my iComposition and Youtube channel are recorded using a Sadowsky with this spec.

Yeah, the orange bomber is amazing. That bass is THE reason I searched for a used one with the same specs. I just got SUPER lucky and found one for a great price. It's surely not as pristine as yours, but the tone and playability are ALL there. :)
