Club Sadowsky!!!

HI

Killer WL, John. Glad to see u picked one up. Gonna sell any of your others?

Rob

Hey Rob,

I already sold my '59 burst, with the quilt top. I'm going to hang onto my older '98 and 2000. Each are very "distinct" in their own way, sounds wise. They are all "Sadowsky's" yet there are marked differences in tone, which have me covered nicely, tone wise.

Did I read somewhere you were coming down this way for some golf?

John

... Will Lee!....I wanted something "understated"... no really fancy top/board required.

The Black pearl finish has these little reflective flecks in the finish that really show an attention to detail...Wilkins does such nice work.

Very very nice!

Black pear with the black MOTO guard is sharp.

Can I get a Metro P/J in Shoreline Gold w/ Rosewood board?

You can only get metro basses with following finish..

if you insist to get a bass finished with Shoreline Gold, you may need to get one NYC or.....................get a metro and refinish it? :D

Hope this help.

I think I'm convinced to go Oly White or Sunburst after seeing that haha. I'd love to do Shoreline Gold, but I don't want to spend NYC prices. Just want a sweet P/J in the collection ;) I'm on a bass selling spree. Sold a '76 Fender P and a '72 Fender P today...about to sell my '05 Fender J. Then I'll be down to just my '71 Fender P that I'm keeping. I want to pick up a Sadowsky P/J and something else.

Good tastes! Good luck to your new bass purchase!! :bassist:

Just an FYI...

There is a review of the WL in Bassplayer this month. Of course Jonathan Herrera is preaching to the choir about the benefits of the WL and Sadowsky in general. I like how he almost referenced Roger as a scientist with his "lab" comment. ;)

I think that the best comment of the article was "It's no wonder one of the heaviest session bassists in the world favors this instrument"

Gosh, if they would have added sparkles to the paint and changed the pickguard if would be just like John's new WL. Sweet bass John:hyper: Congrats;)

I'm in. The wide-world-inter-web says the man in the brown truck will be arriving today. Caramel burst on quilt five string PJ with reverse PU config. Mine has an off-white pickguard.

Can't wait. Will post pics ASAP.

In the mean time, I offer this, which is close, but the tort PG just makes it for me. This bass is just freaking SMOKING!!!!!

I'm getting a tort guard made for mine.

Doesn't matter... this one is sold to another TB'er anyway. A little birdie has told me this TB'er will be joining the club as well very soon. :)

BTW, I saw the one you're getting, and it looks amazing. I just hope we can get together sometime so I can check it out. :)

Not only that, but another good friend and Sadowsky Club fan will be officially joining soon. I can't remember if he's posted about it yet, but don't have time to double check right now, so I'll just leave it at that for the moment. :)

In short, Sadowsky Club... +3, -0. Win. :)

On another note, took my new MV5-24 to the Aviom equipped worship gig rehearsal last night, and also picked up my older NYC/SC bass from the guy who did the recording project. My new Metro killed in church, and the buddy doing the recording project said they plugged it directly into the board... no EQ, no other processing, just bare naked Sadowsky tone, and the studio engineer was drooling all over the place. :)

Hey Vic i would love to see a picture of all you Basses together, i have only seen them separate. I would make a great family picture!
He doesn't have a wide angle lense!!! :)
LOL! It's not that bad... it's only four. :)

Funny tho, I do need to do a new "family pic" with the new addition. I'll get on that hopefully tonight. :)

In the mean time, here they are in their own pics...

The studio "destroyer"...
[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

The one that looks as pretty as it sounds...

The one that got me seriously sold on Metros (has a tort guard now tho)...
[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

And the one that has pretty much the same tone as the destroyer (since I had them swap the HC's out for SC's), but with 24 frets, and another totally killer Metro...

Enjoy. I sure as hell am. :)
